Cuckoo Meadow update

During the summer holidays, we will be re-painting parts of the Rathbone Pavilion and also applying preservative to the wooden sheds ready for the new Pre-School year.

In the playground area, we have commissioned some refurbishment of the fencing, gates and protective barriers. However, since on safety grounds our contractor needs to close off the entire area for the duration of the work, we have delayed the start until September i.e. after the schools re-open, to keep the facilities open during the summer holiday. I will advise the exact nearer the time.

Unfortunately, some of our play equipment is coming to the end of its life. The wooden donkey was found to have some severe rot and became detached from its metal support structure; hence we have had to remove this item. One of the mounting brackets on the climbing net has broken and we are in dialogue with the manufacturer over options for repairing it.
We are approaching the start of the new football season. If any adult wishes to run some coaching sessions for youngsters using the new min-football pitch, please let the Trust know.
