Queen Elizabeth had been a member of the WI for over 80 years and was President of the Sandringham WI since the death of the Queen Mother. She attended the WI meeting at Sandringham every January.      See full story...

Ploughing Match

Basingstoke and District Agricultural Society are holding their annual ploughing match in Woodmancott on Saturday 1st October. The ploughing will be happening opposite the church and it is a wonderful sight when all the tractors and ploughs are at work. As a result the roads around North Waltham will be busier than usual that day with tractors and ploughs travelling to Woodmancott first thing in the morning and leaving during the afternoon. We apologise in advance to local residents for any inconvenience this may cause.      See full story...
