Cuckoo Meadow goal post

The large goal post, retained following dissolution of the football team many years ago, has proved very popular over the spring and summer this year for target practice and polishing up shooting skills. Users are requested to take particular care to keep the ball within the confines of the Meadow and avoid sending the ball over the hedge into neighbouring gardens and verges.      See full story...

North Waltham Village Trust Management Committee

Allan Hawkey has stood down as a Trustee and member of the Management Committee. Allan was instrumental in setting up and maintaining the village website, operated jointly by the Village Trust and Parish Council, which has greatly assisted communication around the village. COVID-19 Group - July 2020

This group was set up on the 15th March 2020 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Since then we have supported many residents with shopping, delivery of papers, collection of prescriptions, having someone to talk to, etc. Over the past few weeks, the village has settled into a routine of members of the Covid-19 Support Group, friends and neighbours all watching out and helping each other wherever possible.      See full story...

Many councils are introducing 20mph limits both to reduce road accident risk and encourage active travel, increase walking, cycling and horse-riding as well as to improve air quality. Covid-19 Core Group Update – June 2020

This group was set up on the 15th March 2020 to support our local residents as defined by the Parish Magazine core circulation area and to provide direct support to Old Barn Stores. The purpose of this group is to ensure the vulnerable and residents in self-isolation and shielding can continue to have their basic needs met, whether that is food, prescriptions or animals being cared for. We will also provide a chatting / social service for individuals to stay connected if they live on their own or if anyone needs to have someone to chat to. WI - June 2020

North Waltham WI is continuing to follow the guidance from Hampshire Confederation of WIs and at the current time we are unable to hold any meetings. The following is from HCFWI Chairman following their recent Events Meeting - “We are finding it very frustrating to have to wait before making definite bookings as, sadly, it could still be sometime before the restrictions are lifted on meetings. Pre-Booking System for Household Waste and Recycling Centres

A new system for residents to book slots at Household Waste Recycling Centres will begin on Monday 15th June 2020 and residents will need to make a booking to access the sites from this day onwards. The system is being set up in response to some of the severe traffic congestion seen at many HWRCs since they re-opened in May.      See full story...

Children's Sunflower Competition

Can your children grow the tallest sunflower or the sunflower with the biggest head before 1st September 2020? Please encourage them to get sowing seeds and watering plants to take part in this annual competition and help them to appreciate nature during the lockdown.
