Hampshire County Council have launched a consultation on the future of local government in the county. They are asking for the views of the public on different ways that the County Council and the 11 district councils in Hampshire could change, or be reorganised.
Options include the merger of the county and district councils into a single unitary authority. The consultation will also asks residents whether they want an elected mayor, whether the county should split or whether there should be no change.
