A303 Bullington to Popham (Hampshire) – Drainage Maintenance
Kier Highways, on behalf of Highways England, will be undertaking essential maintenance work to the drainage system along the A303 between Bullington (A303) and Popham (M3), to ensure the network remains in a safe condition and reduces potential flooding risks. To keep overall disruption to a minimum, we will be undertaking three separate drainage schemes within the same traffic management.
The work is currently scheduled to start on Monday 10 July 2017* and is due to be completed by November 2017*.
In order to carry out the work as efficiently and safely as possible, lane closures will be in place on the A303 east and westbound carriageways overnight (between 9pm and 6am) until September. During October, there will then be occasional full overnight closures of the A303 between the M3 (Popham) and the A303 (Bullington). During these closures a clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A34 and A33.
Confirmed dates for any closures will be displayed in advance on signs along the A303.
We would like to apologise in advance for any disturbance or inconvenience caused during the works. If you have any questions or if you’d like you know about the work please contact Highways England’s customer control centre:
