To mark the actual signing of the Armistice at 0600 in 1918, the National Piping Centre has asked that pipers play “Battle’s O’er” at 0600 on 11 November. The Armistice came into force later that day at 1100.

A young piper who lives in North Waltham, Finn Miller, will play his bagpipes at the NW War Memorial as part of the national tribute.
Finn has only been learning the bagpipes since April, is proving very accomplished and performed with the pipe band at the NEC in Birmingham last month
