Short of ideas for half-term? Why not take your children to see the village’s best display of snowdrops… in the churchyard, such a magical sight. Whilst you’re there, listen to the birdsong, and in the early evening a barn owl might be sighted in the trees. Spring is on its way so look out for lesser celandine, heather and daffodils beginning to push through with the first sightings of bluebell foliage on the far side of the site. Wild primrose and borage is starting to make an appearance too. It’s great for the senses and a wonderful half term nature walk. We’re also clearing sticks off the grass, so feel free to make a pile. Enjoy some calm and nature in this green and pleasant village space.
