Roadworks - Up Street

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council have given notice of a road closure on Up Street, between the junctions of Chapel Street and Elizabethan Rise, on 7th May 2019 for the replacement of a decaying telegraph pole. The work is expected to last one day.      See full story...

Annual Parish Meeting

will take place on Tuesday 16th April 2019 at 8.00pm in the Rathbone Pavilion, North Waltham. Representatives of Bloor Homes will present proposals for land at Basingstoke Golf Course. The Parish Council and other village organisations will also share what they have been doing during the past year and plan to do in the future. Children's Sunflower Competition

Can you grow the tallest sunflower? Or the Sunflower with the largest head? North Waltham Parish Council are organising the Childrens Sunflower Competition again this year. So, get planting and watering and we look forward to seeing lots of tall, large sunflowers around North Waltham later in the Summer.      See full story...

Garden Competition

North Waltham Parish Council is organising the Annual Garden Competition again this year. All front gardens within the village are automatically entered and there will be prizes for the best hanging baskets/containers on display in a front garden too. North Waltham Parish Council Additional Meeting

will be held on Monday 8th April 2019 at 7.30pm in the Doris Cook Room, Rathbone Pavilion, North Waltham. Three planning applications will be discussed at 2 Bungalow, Yew Tree Road; and two applications at Folly Farm, North Waltham (both under the General Permitted Development Order) Members of the public and press are welcome to attend.      See full story...

A Notice of Election has been published by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council for the Election of Parish Councillors in North Waltham. Nominations must be delivered to BDBC Civic Offices before 4.00pm on Wednesday 3rd April 2019. If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 2nd May 2019.      See full story...

Thank you to the Village Working Party

Thank you to the residents who turned out last Saturday morning as part of the Village Working Party to cut back ivy growing on the trees on the wild area of St Michaels Green. Your help was greatly appreciated and we will now be able to fully assess the health of these trees as they come into leaf later in the Spring. Thank you also to Alan Purkiss, Tree Warden, for advising us on what to do.      See full story...

Village Working Party for St Michael's Green

Please come along to join a Village Working Party on Saturday 9th March at 10.00am to undertake some work to trees at the far end of St Michaels Green on the wild area opposite the Church. This work will involve cutting the ivy at the bases of the trees to ensure the ivy eventually dies and falls from the trees. (This event has originally due to take place on 2nd February but was postponed due to the snow)      See full story...
