Vehicle recovery vans in car park

Two vehicle breakdown vans have been left at Cuckoo Meadow, apparently since Monday 27 May. Neither van has any business name identified on it. If anyone has information on who owns these vehicles, please e-mail info@northwaltham.org with the details or advise one of the members of the Village Trust management committee.      See full story...

R2D2 Running Club

You may have seen some signs, (arrows, circles), made with flour on the roads of our village last week. A running and walking group called R2D2, (see their web site), set a run using the flour to show directions, last Thursday, starting and finishing at The Fox.      See full story...

Toddler swing refurbishment

The toddler cradle swings in the Cuckoo Meadow Play Area have been refurbished with new timbers. While the concrete around the base and protective rubber flooring were curing, our contractor placed a screen of orange plastic mesh supported by steel rods around the apparatus to deter access to the area. Regrettably, when they returned to re-fit the chains and swings, they found that someone had removed their mesh screen and rods from the Meadow - and damaged the new rubber flooring in the process.      See full story...

The Parish Council will have three vacancies for Parish Councillors on the new council in May 2019. WI - April 2019

At our meeting on April 11th 2019 at the Rathbone Pavilion Carolyn welcomed two new members, Linda and Sylvie, bringing our total number of NWWI to 42. Our speakers for the evening were two ladies working at St. Michaels Hospice, a well-known venue and familiar to lots of families.      See full story...

Roadworks - Up Street

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council have given notice of a road closure on Up Street, between the junctions of Chapel Street and Elizabethan Rise, on 7th May 2019 for the replacement of a decaying telegraph pole. The work is expected to last one day.      See full story...

Annual Parish Meeting

will take place on Tuesday 16th April 2019 at 8.00pm in the Rathbone Pavilion, North Waltham. Representatives of Bloor Homes will present proposals for land at Basingstoke Golf Course. The Parish Council and other village organisations will also share what they have been doing during the past year and plan to do in the future. Village Fete - Big Lunch

The annual VILLAGE FETE / BIG LUNCH returns on Sunday 19th May – from 12 to 4 pm This year we hope to bring you a Grand Raffle, along with stalls from local businesses and the traditional plant, book, tombola stalls. There will be a number of games, activities and crafts on offer and refreshments (including teas, Pimms and beer) and food available to buy.      See full story...

Children's Sunflower Competition

Can you grow the tallest sunflower? Or the Sunflower with the largest head? North Waltham Parish Council are organising the Childrens Sunflower Competition again this year. Garden Competition

North Waltham Parish Council is organising the Annual Garden Competition again this year. All front gardens within the village are automatically entered and there will be prizes for the best hanging baskets/containers on display in a front garden too.
