North Waltham Parish Council has received communications from key services regarding Coronavirus (Covid-19) with advice which we have been asked to share with residents. This includes advice regarding support during a power cut (particularly if you need additional help), council tax support, garden waste collections, latest updates from BDBC and Household Waste Recycling Centre closures.      See full story...

Cuckoo Meadow tree debris

Many thanks are due to the volunteers who helped clear Cuckoo Meadow of the extensive amount of debris fallen from the trees during the winter storms. Fortunately, we had an excellent turnout of villagers to deal with a record amount of material. As ever, we are indebted to Alan Purkiss for arranging removal and disposal of a very full trailer load of branches and twigs.      See full story...

Cuckoo Meadow shrub garden

We have created a new shrub garden at the entrance to the Cuckoo Meadow car park, in place of the holly bush and brambles that were removed a few weeks ago. Many thanks are due to the working party that cleared the ground of an extensive mass of roots, rubble and litter. The work could not have proceeded without their input.      See full story...

Tree debris collection in Cuckoo Meadow

There will be a working party in Cuckoo Meadow at 10.00 this Saturday, 7th March, to collect debris fallen from the trees. Following the February storms, there is an exceptionally large amount of material to collect this year and we need a good turn-out from the Village. North Waltham Parish Council Additional Meeting

will take place on Wednesday 4th March 2020 at 7.30pm in the Doris Cook Room, Rathbone Pavilion, North Waltham. A planning application for Building at Folly Farm and land opposite Crawley Copse, Overton Road, will be included on the agenda. Cuckoo Meadow tree debris working party

Thanks to the support of Alan Purkiss, a working party has been arranged to clear up debris fallen from the Cuckoo Meadow trees before the start of the grass cutting season.
