Temporary Road Closure - Trenchards Lane

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council have advised that Trenchards Lane will be closed for a 2 week period between 4th October and the end of November to allow the installation of power cabling to a new Openreach cabinet. Diversion signs will be in place, but please be aware that the proposed diversion is through North Waltham via Popham Lane, Church Road and Steventon Road to rejoin Trenchards Lane at Bulls Bushes Farm.      See full story...

Road Closure - Maidenthorne Lane

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council have issued a temporary road closure notice for Maidenthorne Lane. The closure is to enable Openreach works to be carried out including access to underground structures, cabling and jointing in order to restore customer service. Maidenthorne Lane will be closed from the A30 Winchester Road to Barley View and a diversion will be in place along Up Street, Yew Tree Road, Popham Lane and A30 Winchester Road and vice versa. The order will come into effect on 5th August 2019 for one week, although the closure is expected to last 2 days.      See full story...

Roadworks - Up Street

Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council have given notice of a road closure on Up Street, between the junctions of Chapel Street and Elizabethan Rise, on 7th May 2019 for the replacement of a decaying telegraph pole. The work is expected to last one day.      See full story...

Road Closure - Maidenthorne Lane

Maidenthorne Lane, North Waltham, will be closed from the junction with the A30 Winchester Road for 100m west. The closure will come into effect from Monday 5th November 2018 for 5 days or until works are completed, whichever is sooner. Works will be undertaken to clear blockages in ducting to restore residents service. An alternative route is available via the A30 Winchester Road, Popham Lane, Yew Tree Lane, Up Street and Maidenthorne Lane.      See full story...

Community Speed Watch

North Waltham is considering setting up a Community Speed Watch Scheme and have identified a suitable area within the village. In order to operate successfully, at least 10 volunteers are required to run the scheme. Full training and support will be provided. Road Closure - Stubbs Hill, Steventon

Stubbs Hill, Steventon, will be closed to all traffic from its junction with Oakley Road to Stoken Farm, Steventon, as directed by traffic signs. The closure is for the laying of 499m Moleplough Duct. The order will come into effect on 18th September 2018 for 2 months. However, the expected closure should last for 2 weeks.      See full story...
